Life's a Beach with Ashley

Hey there everyone!  Super excited today to share this month's new set with you.  Here is what I created with it:

For this card I used Distress Ink to blend the background.  I stamped the sentiment in a darker ink. I then stamped the sand image, trimmed it and adhered it to the card.  I then stamped the umbrella and ball and adhered with foam adhesive.

For this card I masked off the center and used Distress inks to blend the border.  I then stamped the sentiment and added the jewels to finish.

This card called for my ever trusty Copics.  I stamped all images and sentiment and then colored with my copic markers.  I tied the twine around the bottom and adhered the panel to the card with foam adhesive.

Have a great day!!

Life's a Beach with Heather H

Good morning! Heather here from Houses Built of Cards - to share a few cards with you using the new stamp set for June! This is such a fun and summery stamp set - who doesn't love the beach?!?!? Here is what it looks like:

I have still been loving watercolors so much - and as soon as I saw this set, I just knew that boat was going to get the watercolor treatment! Here is my first card with this set:

I usually use Versafine ink to watercolor, since it is waterproof, but for this one, I wanted it to run together a bit, so I just used my normal Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad. I used my Tim Holtz distress tool on the edges of that panel as well as the sentiment panel. My sentiment was stamped with some Hero Arts shadow ink. Pattern paper is from an Echo Park 6x6 paper pad, and I added some jute twine, wood veneer stars, sequins, and enamel dots. Each layer also has foam adhesive - so lots of dimension on this card too!

Next up - I went for a much more clean and simple look:

I stamped and heat embossed the anchor on my pattern paper with Zing embossing powder, then cut it in a circle with my Lil' Inker's Stitched Circle Die. Added some score lines to my white cardstock to frame it a bit, some enamel dots from Eyelet Outlet, and some soft sheer ribbon by American Crafts.

There are also several new mini sets that are newly released - I decided to use one of them to make a Father's Day card:

And here is my card - I think I'm going to send it to my dad!

Pattern paper is by MME, I added some Thickers for the word "dad" at the top, and heat embossed my sentiment on dark brown cardstock , then hand trimmed it into a banner.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a wonderful day!

Life's A Beach with Jo

Good morning and Happy Monday! It's me Jo for you today. I am using the New  Release:

For my first card, I used the two owl images. Both are colored with my Copic markers and sparkled up with my Clear Wink of Stella pen. To make the card not so flat, I adhered the owls on with dimensional pop dots. I stamped the sand image continuously to fit the A2 card lengthwise. The "Relax" sentiment is from one of the new mini releases Unwined.

Card 2 is showcasing the image of the sailboat, colored with my Copic markers. The base of my card is corrugated cardboard. Each layer of the card is on top of dimensional pop dots. I die cut some designer paper to mimmic waves. "Just Sailing Along" is included in the set, as well as the star fish. I added some jute rope for a nautical touch.

Lastly, for my third card I went for a simple and masculine card. I carefully trimmed off the "You Are My" wording above the anchor image. I used the anchor to create a backgound pattern. "Husband" is from the set Just Fore You and the hearts are from Avocado Type.

Thank you for stopping by today. More projects to come from our fabulous DT!

Have a beautiful day!

New Release for June- Life's A Beach

It's June 1st and that means SUMMER is here in Minnesota!  My boys just finished their last day of school on Friday and the craziness of summer schedules have begun.

I am so excited to share our NEW stamp RELEASE and coordinating digital die cuts for June "Life's A Beach".

It has lots of fun elements including sand, seashells, a beach ball, umbrella and an anchor.  We have coordinating sentiments that can be used to create cute cards, layouts, gift tags etc.

Here are some projects that I created using this months set along with the sun and clouds from our stamp set "Sassy Chick".

Okay, I have a confession...I am addicted to our Avocado Arts Digital Die Cuts and using pop dots.

I have a Silhouette machine and it cuts the images out for you. For this card, I had my machine cut out the sun, the beach ball, the owls, the top of the umbrella, the seashells, the swimsuits, flip flops and flippers.  It is super easy...all you have to do is insert the paper that you would like to use and select the image and push "cut"!  Then I ink up the stamp and stamp it over the top of the cut out image.  Once I discovered pop dots-my life has never been the same :)  Pop-dots give your projects a 3 dimensional look.  In this card I used pop-dots to lift the sun, the Life's A Beach sentiment, the umbrella, the swimsuits, and the beachball.

In this card, I used the sailboat and sentiment "Just Sailing Along" from "Life's A Beach" and the clouds from "Sassy Chick".  I used the digital die cuts to create the sailboat and popped up the orange/polka pieces of the sail with pop-dots.  I also popped up the clouds and the stamped sentiment.

This sentiment and anchor image are perfect for a Thank You card, a gift tag or even making a magnet for someone special.  I simply stamped the sentiment and anchor on a piece of white cardstock, added some pink bling and attached it to a cute pink patterned background.

Just For You with Amanda

I can hardly believe that June is just around the corner!  Amanda from Popper & Mimi here today with some fun ways to use Avocado Arts new Just For You stamp set.  Now that Mother's Day is over, it is time to get into gear for Father's Day.

I don't know what it is, but grandpas love peanuts!  I thought it would be fun to decorate a canister of peanuts to give to grandpa this Father's Day.

I created the label by wrapping a canister with two strips of patterned paper.  I stamped the sentiment on a label and adhered it to the front of the can.  Super easy!

Not all Father's Day recipients are actually fathers.  This simple card could be given to a brother, uncle, or any guy who is your hero.  I stitched a piece of distressed patterned paper to the front of a card and adhered the stamped sentiment with foam.  I added a piece of twine and a brad to make it look like a sign nailed to a wall.

I love the measuring tape in the Just Fore You set.  You can combine any name with the sentiment to make a personalized card.  I combined the sentiment with this cute ruler paper from Doodlebug.

Bonus card!  Similar to the card above, I combined the measuring tape sentiment with some ruler patterned paper to make a cute card for grandpa.

Happy stamping!

Amanda
