It's Wahoo Wednesday and another October stamp set SNEAK PEEK!

Introducing
Gobble till You Wobble
Sneak Peek #3 of the October 2012

The sentiments in next months set fit perfectly in the market tag stamp! You can use them alone or with the tag.
Latisha Yoast brings us this soft, vintage inspired card design that uses the wheat image. So elegant and simply lovely.

Ashley Harris shows off the market tag in this card. The "give thanks" sentiment fits perfectly inside the tag.
Julie Masse pairs the market tag with a sentiment from the September set to show its versatility. Look at how she used the Turkey builder elements on this pumpkin. How stinkin' cute is that!
Teri Anderson uses the graphic sentiment in next month's set as a stand alone element in this super cute card using the apples from this month's set. Sentiments with OPTIONS!
Stay tuned tomorrow to see
the entire stamp set revealed.

Perfectly Made by Jodi McCormack

One of the things I look forward to most, while I am out promoting Avocado Arts
all over the US, is meeting lots of amazing people.
Well, let me tell you, that Jodi McCormack is one of them!!
Jodi is an incredible person to say the least.
I am blessed to have met her and she has become a WONDERFUL friend.

Jodi and I in Lancaster, PA

I met Jodi at a show in New Jersey and then she and her mom showed up at a show in Lancaster, PA! Jodi and her mom (also pretty fabulous) took one of my classes and then Jodi joined our stamp club! Recently, I received an email that contained this SPECTACULAR project that she created. I just about hit the floor!!!

Jodi shared: "I just thought I would send you a little projectI've been working on with my son, Liam. He's going into kindergarten and histeacher requested objects and photos describing what he did this summer. Far beit from me to just throw a photo into a bag...that would be too easy! ;-) Idecided to do a Smash project with him and he loves it!

I ended up using all of your products on the front. The kite I made actually spins (the center is the "tire"from the Perfectly Perfect Day swing) which of course is Liam's favorite part!I used a few of your sets and even combined the squiggle from Hello Friend andthe arrow from Sweet Treat Sweetie to make one long arrow...it worked!"

In addition, Jodi also used the letters, numbers and pennant stamp from the set
"Avocado Type" and the sun from "Sunshine and Smiles". I LOVE the fact that the kite is interactive and spins!!! AWESOME project Jodi!!!

Here is another project that Jodi shared with me. She first got hooked on Avocado Arts when she saw our mini owl stamp set at a Scrapbook Expo show.
She purchased this set at the show and then used the owl stamp to create a cute gift tag!
These were gifts she gave to her sons teachers- cash -instead of gift cards.
I am sure the teachers LOVED this gift ;)

I just wanted to say thank you Jodi, for sharing these projects with me
and for being a blessing in my life!

Keep on keepin' on,
~Michelle

A little inspiration and absolute YELLOW Goodness Today!

It's Monday and we are sharing some project goodness today!
Remember this card from the blog the other day? Well, today we're going to show you how the quatrafoil (yellow) background was made using this Digital Die Cut Card Kit
Did you know you can use the digital cut files for more than just, well, a die cut.
By using just one of the files from this kit, I created a custom patterned paper background!
HOW?
Check it out!
I used GRAFIX Blue Stencil film to cut the stencil and RANGER Dylusions Ink Spray to coat the cardstock. You could also use a transparency. Coat the back of the stencil with some removable adhesive spray, so you can use the stencil over and over again!
Go. Try it! Create! Get INKY!

Meet This Month's Guest Designer! Lucy Abrams!

Lucy Abrams

She's Super Sweet and makes
the most amazing cards
We're blessed to have her this month!

We Welcome Lucy
to the Avocado Arts family!
I was first introduced to paper crafting in 2008 when my sister gave me a scrapbooking kit. However, I was not a very good scrapbooker, and quickly ventured into the world of card making.  I soon discovered rubber stamps and since that day, have never looked back. I aim to create cards that are clean, simple and fun. I especially love to combine patterned paper with stamping and particularly enjoy paper piecing with stamped images. I have been designing for Hero Arts since 2009, working especially with their digital stamps and products. I am lucky enough to have had cards published in a number of magazines, including CARDS and Paper Crafts. Once a high school English teacher, I am now taking a career break to be a full time mummy to my beautiful new baby, Lily.  I live in Manchester, England with my husband, daughter and naughty cat Dennis.

Check out Lucy's fabulous style HERE!
Lucy will be sharing another project using
on the 8th of this month.
Make sure you check back to a quick tutorial on making a stencil from our digital die cuts! TOMOROW!
