BEE Thankful with Connie Mercer

Connie is back on the blog today sharing some FABULOUS gift ideas using our new stamp set BEE Thankful.

For her first project she shares:  "I made the vintage coffee tin for my round coffee table to set out during the holidays.  The stamps were so perfect for this."  I love how she stamped "You warm me up" to a small tag and then attached it to some hot cocoa packets.  Wonderful idea!

Next, Connie created some great gifts that would be perfect for stocking stuffers, teacher gifts, Secret Santa gifts.  She also used a sentiment "Wishing you a Cozy Christmas" from our stamp set "Gingerbread Goodness" that is available on our website www.avocadoarts.com

Connie shares: "The notepads would make great teacher gifts and so easy with this stamp set.  The notepads are cut by a Office Depot type store and usually do it for free if you buy the legal size notepads in lots of 12.  Just have them cut it in thirds!!"

This also would make a great gift to say "Thank you" to someone.  Connie used stamps from one of my favorite stamp sets "Gobble till you Wobble".  She used the leaves and acorn images from this set.

WONDERFUL ideas Connie!  Your creativity always blows me away.  Please leave Connie some love and to check out more from her, click on her blog:  www.craftygoodies.com

BEE Thankful with Heather P.

Hi, everyone! Heather P. here with a set of sweet coordinating pocket journaling cards I created using October's stamp set, BEE Thankful.

To create my first card, I started with a gray pocket card base, and covered the back with embossing paste using a diagonal stripe stencil.  Next, I stamped the uber adorable snowman image from BEE Thankful in green ink onto white card stock, then fussy cut it out.  I then cut a small strip of pink card stock, trimmed the end to give it a banner shape and adhered it to the card base with pop dots before attaching the snowman.  To finish up, I die cut three hearts from hot pink, light pink and dark gray card stock, then adhered them to the corner.

For my next card, I started with a piece of pink card stock that was trimmed into a journal card shape, then stamped it with the chevron pattern from When & Where in fuchsia ink.  I then adhered strips of light green card stock and light gray card stock to the card base.  Next, I stamped the snowman image ink dark gray ink, and fussy cut it out.  Before adhering the snowman to the card base with pop dots, I covered the light gray strip of card stock with stickles.

For my last pocket card in the set, I started with a piece of lime green card stock and dry embossed it with a chevron pattern.  Next, I cut a strip of gray card stock and adhered it to the card base.  I then stamped the snowman in pink ink and fussy cut it out before attaching it to the card base with pop dots. To finish up, I added a little sparkle using stickles on the snowman's hat.

Well, that wraps it up for me, but please be sure to visit the Avocado Arts blog again for more inspiration!

Have a great one!
Heather P.

BEE Thankful with Heather H

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!  Heather H is on our blog today sharing 3 gorgeous projects that she has created.  Love all of the techniques used with our new stamp set "BEE Thankful" that is available on our website www.avocadoarts.com   Enjoy!!

Good morning! Heather here from Houses Built of Cards - to share a few cards with you using the new stamp set for October - a darling mix of winter and thankfulness!!!

The first image that caught my eye was that cup - my hubby is a big coffee lover, so I knew I had to start with that one! I thought it would be fun to use watercolors with it.

I cut a scallop square of watercolor paper, heat embossed my sentiment, then washed over it with watercolor paint. Added a twist of jute twine, then mounted with foam adhesive on a kraft card base that I used a background die on.

Next, I love the cute snowman - he looks like he was made of popsicle sticks, doesn't he?

I heat embossed him on white on a red die cut tag, then added my sentiment from Wishes and Kind Thoughts:

I used some pattern paper from Crate Paper for my background, and added some machine stitching around the edges - it's a little hard to see, but it adds so much to the card! To soften the pattern paper a little, I took a piece of vellum and tore the edges, then used a stencil to apply embossing paste. Love how it kind of looks like snow!

And finally - that turkey just couldn't be any cuter!!!

For this one, I stamped him on a PL journaling card, added some spray mist, and a wrap of yellow jute twine. Used some woodgrain MME paper for the background, then to add a little texture I used another stencil and some ebossing paste tinted with Gelatos. Once it dried a bit, I also added a bit of the same gold spray mist.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a wonderful day!

BEE Thankful with Jo

Grab a cup of coffee and get cozy!  Get ready to enjoy 3 AMAZING projects that Jo has created today using our new stamp set "BEE Thankful".

Happy Friday! The weekend is almost here, woohoo! It's me Jo sharing my projects featuring this month's release:

Today I'll be sharing two Christmas themed projects and a Fall themed project. Let's go!

Project 1: You Warm Me Up!
I decided to make a cute little treat bag using the "You Warm Me Up!" sentiment, stamped on 110lb CS and colored with my Copics. I had the perfect paper to go with this hot cocoa theme. The treat bag contains two packets of hot cocoa and a paper straw. I added some burlap trim and jute rope. For a more holiday feel, I cut some red glittery snowflakes. Here is a video tutorial on how to make this treat bag over on my YouTube Channel: Paperdrama.

Project 2: THANKS
Keeping with the holiday theme, I created this Thank You card using the sentiment "THANKS". I used some designer paper that looks like a sweater and added more of the glittered snowflakes.

Project 3: Eat More Chicken

Hahaha, okay this card was so fun to create. I used the cute Turkey image in the stamp set and colored it with my Copics. To make the card more interactive, I placed him on an action wobble spring. He's just a normal turkey trying to get a message out there. The cute chicks and the sloped hills are from the stamp set Sassy Chick.

I added some leaves and burlap twine to create a Fall/Thanksgiving themed card. This may not be your everyday card to make, but I hope it puts a smile on the recipient's face =)

Be creative and have fun with this set! Thanks for stopping by today and enjoy the rest of your week!

~Jo
