Hello again, Avocado Arts fans!

Teri here, and I'm happy to bring you a few more projects made with the spiffy and fun You Rule! stamp set from Avocado Arts.

It's been a long time since I stepped in a classroom, but this set sure tugs about my heartstrings. I was one of those "those kids" who just loved school. If I could have gone to school seven days a week, I totally would have. And I have to admit that there is just something about seeing school supplies and old-school sneakers in stamp form that takes me back to my younger years and makes me smile!

I was inspired by the stamp set's paintbrush to make this card.

I started out by brushing watercolor paint on a piece of watercolor paper. I let it dry and then just stamped the paintbrush right on top. I finished it off by stamping the sentiment with black ink.

I was inspired to make a rainbow of sorts again for this card. 

This time, I simply stamped the set's crayon on a number of different cardstocks and fussy cut them out. For extra pop, I added gems to the middle of each crayon.

Finally, I just had to make something with the stamp set's cute sneakers!

This is what I came up with.

You Rule with Julie Masse!

This month's set is oh so perfect for August (don't you love a well-planned release?!)!  You Rule has everything for back to school covered  - even though I am not one bit ready to discuss the end of summer and back to school! *sigh*

First up, I used the funky fresh pair of sneakers to make a simple card that would be great for guys or girls, just change up the colors!

I had a bit of fun paper piecing the sneakers but left some just plain - super quick!

Next, I used the paint brush image from the set and paired it up with the "you" cursive sentiment from Future's So Bright.

I love how you can color the end of the paintbrush just by stamping on the edge of your inkpad!! For the sentiment, I simply omitted the "you" at the beginning.

And last but not least, I played with the crayon stamp.  I also had a bit of fun with a real crayon when I drew the smiley face.

The crayons across the bottom were embossed with white ep and then colored in with colored pencils.  Again, I switched up the sentiment a bit, using the "you pretty much rule" sentiment but changing it to "rock" by omitting and adding the word from Borders and Sentiments. 

There are so many fun possibilities with this set and I see lots of teacher's cards being made, which means you will "Pretty Much Rock!" with those teachers!! ;)

Your Pretty Much Rule With Pinky!

Hey there Avocado Art friends, Pinky here today with 3 fun cards.  As I type this post I realize I must be feeling very GREEN- there is a touch of green in every card. This stamp set totally inspired me to 

have fun and just stamp like crazy.  Since school begins in Tennessee this week it's perfect timing. 

Such a great set- you definitely need YOU Rule!

This first card I used the "You PRETTY MUCH Rule!" sentiment, the Ruler and Crayons stamps- I colored the crayons to coordinate with the Nikki Sivils paper I found in my stash. 

In this second card I used the "No one can ever fill your SHOES" sentiment then I added a pair of green sneakers from the stamp set. I added a little Smooch Ink Glitter to the tips and then sprinkled a bit

of peridot glitter on top. Just to add some pizzazz! 

You can see I spritzed the background a bit too. 

On this last card I spritzed the background white paper then used the ruler stamp in many different colors.  Then I added the "You PRETTY MUCH Rule!" sentiment.

This is all perfect for the teachers I will be visiting all week!

You Rule with Connie !!!!!

Hi guys~It is my turn to share with you using the August stamp set by Avocado Arts called YOU Rule! And it does, so cute and so many ways to use these fun stamps. 

My first project is a scrapbooking page:):)~

 I stamped the jar on an acrylic sheet of acetate ( from set Sweet Treat Sweetie by Avocado Arts ) using Stazon Ink. My second project~a manly card:):)

I stamped it twice, once on kraft cardstock and then on white.  Then I cut out the inside sole and the tips of the shoes.  Reminds me of sneekers.

My third project are some special treats for my grands, so I did 5 of them.

These were fun to make and went really fast.  Should be fun to see what they put in them.  Thanks for stopping by~

You Rule with Ashley Marcu!

Hi Everyone! I'm excited to share my first official post as part of the Avocado Arts Pit Crew! You Rule is a super fun set so lets get started! 

First up I created a partial background using the notebook stamp. I stamped it several times at an angle in color that coordinated with my patterned paper. I accented the card with two rulers and finished it up with the sentiment.

Next I created a card with the crayon as the focal image. I used the back of the crayon stamp first to create my pattern and add color. Then I stamped over the top with the right side of the stamp.

This last card features the awesome pair of shoes in the set! Aren't they the best!?! They are paper pieced and added to a fun tag I cut out. The card was finished the perfect sentiment!

I used the ruler image from the set and stamp it multiple times in black and then colored to create the tiled background.

It's Amy T here with a couple cards using the August New Release

YOU Rule!

Can I tell you how much I love this set?  With my daughter going into her first year of college and living on campus, she's going to be getting a ton of happy mail from her Momma.

This set is perfect!

First up is a card especially for my girl:

I double stamped the ruler.  I pulled out some old gridded cardstock and adhered some washi tape on the left hand side.  I popped the ruler on foam dots and stamped the sentiment.  Super easy smeasy... I love that ruler on the So Saffron cardstock.

This particular card is perfect for my boy.  He's quite the shoe dude....Don't you love how the sentiment pops?

For you Stampin' Up fans, I used River Rock as the card base & rounded some corners.  I stamped the shoes with Impress Fresh Ink Birch and then copic'd the one pair of shoes...think of nubuck leather.  

Here's my fun & sloppy card:

After I stamped the easel and the sentiment, I flicked watercolor paints onto the tag.  I topped it with a washi tab and pop dotted it onto a tall & skinny card.  

Super fun set...I can't wait to see how it inspires YOU!
